John 20:23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.
You might want to dig a little deeper into that verse contextually....
verse # 22 is the key....
Only people can forgive other people for transgressions by the power of the HS...
The church has no power to forgive sin...only God does by and though his Son...
