Jesus met with sinners to encourage them to stop sinning and CHANGE their ways. That is not what is happening today...the sinners are accepted and the church now must CHANGE. I don't think forgiveness was meant as a blessing to go sin again. If Francis is what many Catholics believe he is...he will be abhorred by this "welcome"...if not, then many are right about him.
