Once again, following a tradition by which I feel honored, the Secretary General of the United Nations has invited the Pope to address this distinguished assembly of nations. In my own name, and that of the entire Catholic community, I wish to express to you, Mr Ban Ki-moon, my heartfelt gratitude…Address of …Pope Francis to The General Assembly of the United Nations Did you catch that? The Pope, is one of the Gentile Kings of the Earth, having episcopal authority over the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics, and claiming to be the vicar of Christ on earth. He has awarded the “Angel of Peace” Medallion to Mahmoud Abbas, the planner of the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre of the Israeli Olympic delegation. Abbas has recently stated that “We welcome every drop of blood shed in Jerusalem…”, in an attempt to further incite violence against Jewish worshippers in their fall Feasts. The Pope says He comes to the U.N. in “His own name…”.Not in the name of Jesus or in the name of the Father, but in His own name. As in his address to Congress, the “vicar of Christ” virtually didn't mention the name of the LORD Jesus to the U.N., although he did refer to the Creator, and the “Most High”, he never mentioned Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Is that not odd? Can we imagine Peter or Paul addressing the world congress and never mentioning Jesus? Jesus once warned Israel, I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.( John 5:43) This is a warning about the Anti-Christ. Jesus is saying that He came to Israel, , “in the Father’s name”, i.e. fulfilling all of the requirements in scripture for the recognition of the Messiah, citing the prophecies, doing all of the works, and speaking the Word of the Father and not his own, (humanly speaking). But all of that didn’t suffice, the leaders of Israel proved that they didn’t really love God or believe in Him, because when He came to them in Jesus, they rejected him. But Jesus warned that one day “Another will come in His own name…”, and that they would receive him. I find it significant that this Pope came to the UN in his own name, and not in the name of God.

This is pretty thought provoking. Many of us believe the Anti-Christ will come from Rome. I sent a link with an excerpt to email friends hoping I didn’t include ones who are devout Catholics. I know some are lapsed Catholics..and maybe if I goofed, they’ll forgive me for what they may take as an insult... Well, in today’s language - IT IS WHAT IT IS!!
Regarding world events of the last decade or two I feel like the father porcupine in the Gary Larsen cartoon looking over his newspaper, watching his son play with a balloon, and says, “This won’t last long.”
Expect I’ve been listening to the Gospels on my commute and it clearly says that as we see the end drawing near it WILL seem to go on longer than we expected.

I’m no fan of this Pope, but to build a whole hysterical case that he is the anti-Christ on his use of a COMMON EXPRESSION (”...in my own name...”) that must have been uttered about a hundred trillion times by billions of people since the New Testament was written...is demented.
He didn’t mention Jesus Christ to congress, either.
In the address to Congress the Pope praised the United States and four servants who helped others, including Abraham Lincoln.
It wasn’t about religion at all.
Babylon is the US. The Antichrist will be Jewish. Jews are not going to follow the Pope or any other Christian.
And for the record I am Catholic and very concerned about this Pope.
Really Arthur? I have never heard anyone say that they come in their own name, especially a so called man of God.There is nothing hysterical abut it. BTW The Pope may be of the spirit of AntiChrist, but I don’t believe he is the Anti-Christ of Revelation 13. (Maybe the false prophet).
He declares the Apostles Creed and Nicene creed during public prayers which is a confirmation of 1 John4. It is totally impossible for this Pope to be what you suggest unless he took it away. If a Pope comes and takes away the 1John4 requirement by The Apostle John he would be that one and not a real Pope or Christian. Totally Hysterical stereotype as pointed out. He is stating he comes like in a legal requirement of himself it is not for you to feel it has to be for what you want it to be. Geesh.

If Mystery, Babylon is America, then Obama is the Anti-Christ. The Bible has many names for the Anti-Christ, he’s only mentioned by that name on few occasions, however he’s mentioned on many occasions as The King of Babylon.
So The King of Babylon is the Anti-Christ and Mystery, Babylon would be America and the Whore of Babylon would be New York City, specifically Manhatten Island.
The Whore we’re told is a city, it’s a financial centre and is surrounded on all sides by water ie. an island and it’s represented by a woman.

New York City is the only place that fulfils ALL criteria as The Whore of Babylon.
I’ve studied the concept of the EU as Mystery, Babylon and yes there are very compelling reasons to assume it is. I’ve studied the concept of The Vatican City as The Whore of Babylon....there are NO reasons that it is, The Vatican fulfils ZERO criteria as The Whore of Babylon....crucially it’s not surrounded by water on all sides, it’s not a world financial centre where merchants from across the world have come to to be made rich and it’s not represented by a woman with her arm outstretched holding a golden cup....unlike the ONLY place on the planet that is, New York City.
My personal belief on studying all criteria:
America = End-Time Babylon aka Mystery, Babylon.
Obama = The King of Babylon aka The Anti-Christ.
Heretic “Pope” Francis = The False Prophet.

I have seen quotes from the first protestant reformers from 500 years ago stating unashamedly that the papacy, in their opinion, is the seat of antichrist. And the popes ‘antichrist’..
When I found in my concordance that ‘anti’ need not be understood as ‘opposed’ or ‘against’ like we know it today,but’instead of/in place of’, there is evidence that the first reformers weren’t wrong, and frankly more alert than we are.
Scripture can show antichrist’s are from without or within.
Pastor, if we follow logically you stating that the pope could be the ‘false prophet’, maybe his jesus isnt the real one? I mean, he certainly has taken some time discussing Jesus. Just not at the satanic capitol or united Nations.
Could Rome be teaching ‘another Jesus’?

It is not an accident the world runs today on a Roman calendar named after a Pope. That came out in 1582.
The first reformers like Martin Luther, Calvin, etc, had they been alive , I suspect would have called that antichrist’s calendar.
Today, the world uses it almost exclusively.. Maybe Daniel 7:25 was on to something when it says times and laws would change..
Rome’s Jesus was born on December 25, according to Rome and killed on Good Friday,accordimng to Rome. And raised on Easter Sunday, according to Rome.
Maybe all that unscriptural ‘teaching’ points to another jesus? A Jesus that can only be told from Rome’s calendar and Rome’s catechism- certainly not from His Word.
Because we know His Word says He laid His life down as the Lamb for our sins on Passover. And Raised on First Fruits. Scripture can help us with His Birthday too.
In 2014, Passover landed on a Pope Gregory Monday. It would have landed on a Pope Gregory Saturday in 2015 if not for Rabbinic Judaism’s reliance on the Pope Gregory Saturday as their Sabbath conflicted with the Father’s Calendar and Commands He taught them..they moved it back a day. (Used different standards for the same day in different years-really thanks to Rome)
Passover on the 14th Day holds significance on our Father’s Calendar because it is always His 6th Work Day. Which leads to His 7th Day Sabbath (15th) and then to the first day of His 3rd week (16th)
14th/15th/16th even if it starts on a ‘Monday’ on the world calendar, changes not on our Father’s calendar.
His Calendar is in Scripture too..
So good Friday,Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday are a different gospel. That is Rome’s gospel, according to their catechism and calendar.
Paul taught Passover(14th, Unleavened Bread(15th) and First Fruits(16th), according to the Old Testament scripture. Like Leviticus 23..
Can we say in a plain way Rome has created another Jesus and another gospel?
Christianity better pray Rome hasn’t been a vessel for Satan and His counterfeiting.
Because that is about as subtle a difference one can find and they will never see the subtly without testing and proving ALL things- even what ‘today’ is...
A thought that has already humbled me.. But I admit to being extremely protestant of Rome. Even the way they tell time..
And I don’t read Revelation 13 or any scripture the same way..
But it is hard to explain to people how I met Him as we all do, as Rome’s Jesus- but He didn’t let me stay there..
And try explaining yesterday was His 7th Day Sabbath (15th day) and today (16th) is His 1st Day. A day that commemorates His Creative Work and points back to His Redemptive Work too, when He rose from the grave on the 1st Day of the week in His 1st month.
It is by faith that I do that. Just like I had faith in Rome when I used to call it Woden’s Day.

Not sure believers would want to travel down that path too far of antichrist’ or false prophet, etc. They may not like the answer they find. They may find themselves,like I did, feeding a beast.
People who wonder who the ‘antichrist’ is or will be are searching. They are paying attention to world events and leaders.
But Rome’s Jesus is the last place they look..because they don’t see another Jesus or another gospel- again, thanks to Rome.

My conclusion to that is because this country was originally a British Colony, and most of the people who founded our country were from England. But I don’t not believe Obama is the Antichrist. People are going tolook for someone who can fix the world’s woes. He’s creating them. It will also have to be someone the Jewish people will believe to be their Messiah. There is no way they see Obama as their Messiah.
