No surprise, he’s very pro-union

Too bad the Papal Mass in Philly was last week. Vatican spokesmen may have had some problems explaining Francis’ statements and squaring them with today’s Gospel from Mark and reading from Genesis.

I mean his past statements on divorce and homosexual conduct. Still he seems to speak to please his audience. I the US he all but disowned Church teachings on family, marriage, and conduct. Unlike Christ who consistently spoke Truth and sought to engage those who challenge those who stood opposed.

Both the Old & New Testaments plainly teach against
homosexual “unions”. Momma used to say it is a
nasty habit that people get hooked on; and all the
attempts to claim the Scriptures SAY this, but they
MEAN that are nuts. When I’m not squaring with the
Scriptures; guess what’s out of kilter. (It’s NOT
ever the Scriptures!)

So he says all the ‘right things’ any Catholic would hope for, and then he allows Kim Davis to be mocked by insiders at The Vatican and thrown under the Papal Bus. Got it.

Exactly!!! Just got into an argument with my girlfriend as she said I need to cut the Pope some slack as he has a hard job. I told her he has the easiest job in the world, to continue the same teachings that have existed for hundreds of years. I guess I will have to make my own lunch

Then why are so many priests poking each other, or worse yet, little boys. Did they not get that memo?

” In his homily, Francis noted how the first reading from Genesis, which recounts the story of creation, speaks to us of Adam’s experience of solitude before the creation of Eve.

Although Adam was given dominion over the garden and the other creatures, he “felt alone, because there was not found a helper fit for him. He was lonely.”

The book used by our religion class, states...and I quote, “Adam and Eve are a myth just like the Easter Bunny”.

How is one to raise a Catholic child when this is the crap you get in school? (Yes, I did complain. Yes, I did take it over their heads when they Poo-pooed it, yes I’m still trying)

Oh I get into those all the time...lol...fun right?

He hasn’t been representing the Church like he should have been, maybe it was God that righted his wrong....

Cut him some slack....all he has to do is listen to God, you and I do it everyday to have happy, fruitful lives, how hard is that?

How about if we put all of the people who believe a man and a woman are the core of a natural and God ordained family on one side of the Mississippi, and all of the people who believe that anybody can mate with anyone or anything and still call that a natural family on the other.

In 25-40 years the whole teapot debate will be settled with statistical finality.

Furthermore, most of all the other social, medical and mental health problems will be too.

How so?

"The Church is also called to defend the sacredness of life, of every life; in defending the unity and indissolubility of the conjugal bond.” - Pope Francis

I haven't followed the news for the last few days, but to what do you refer here? I don't recall any "mocking" by anyone in the Vatican of anyone.
