Correct, we are part of the Roman Empire...the beast mentioned in Daniel 7 and Daniel 2, and Revelation 13...as is Britain, Germany, etc. The Arabs, on the other hand, are the historical, geographical, and genealogical descendants of Esau/Ishmael. Hence, they share the same jealousy/hatred of Israel as their forefathers...

Esau and Ishmael were 2 different people, with 2 different sets of character traits. Ishmael is, unquestionably, the Arab world (a “wild ass of a man, with his hand against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him” to paraphrase the Bible). But who is Esau in today’s world? Someone different, someone less prone to temper tantrums, someone still filled with hatred and jealousy, but who is more calculating in how he shows that hatred and jealousy. Esau has LONG been considered the Roman Empire (and its cultural/ideological descendants). I would, to be more accurate than I was previously, apply it more to Europe than to the US, since the US has generally been exceptionally kind to both Jews and Israel (the last 6 3/4 years being a big exception, of course). However, if we don’t change (i.e. if Hillary gets elected), then we will have signed our own death warrant (in many ways...but in this case with God).
