To: Hebrews 11:6

I guess the implication in that passage is that the temptation will always be with us.

Even Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are, but was without sin.

But thank God the temptation is not sin. It’s just temptation.

Our victory is overcoming the temptation, not avoiding it, although there are ways to not deliberately put yourself in the path of it.

Yep, and yep. Or, more biblically, amen and amen!

I think we must infer that not only did Jesus have the temptation of the "lust of the eyes," but also that because of His notoriety some women must have thrown themselves at Him, perhaps quite literally. But God lauds Him directly, "You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness..." (Heb. 1:9), and testifies about Him as you note, "was without sin." He is our Eternal Example.

Anyone analyzing the meaning of these scriptures needs to be able to discern the difference between "tempting" which ice an enticement to do evil, versus "testing" which is to endure adverse effects. Only Satan entices.

God cannot be enticed to/by evil, nor does He entice humans with evil. But He will and does allow humans to be exposed to adversity that tests and proves their faithfulness.
