Mormons believe Jesus was born on April 6th, not December 25th, so there is no reason Mormons—or anyone for that matter—would connect the two dates/persons. Mormons celebrate December 25th along with the rest of Christianity, because it really doesn’t matter WHEN Jesus was born, but that he WAS born.

Contrary to what many Anti-Mormons claim, Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith, they honor and respect him just as they do all the ancient prophets before him.

The cradle in the picture was not intended to imply that Joseph Smith was the baby in the crib (BTW, there is no baby in the crib) but was there only to depict that period’s furniture common in homes of that era. It is not a Nativity scene, but a historical one.

” It is not a Nativity scene, but a historical one.”

It may not be a nativity scene but Colofornian does have a point in that who ever posted that picture put a caption below marking it as such. Colofornian is only guilty of passing on bad information that someone else worded poorly.

By that logic I could post a pic from a UFO/Aliens web site and that would make UFO’s and Aliens real. Sheesh!
