Rob Bell was my canary in the coal mine. I always loved his teachings and looked forward to new ones. His gospel of pure love seemed so Christlike on the surface.
But then we went Universalist and the real foundations of this teachings were exposed. I got rid of all my Rob Bell stuff after explaining why it was necessary again and again to my wife.
Weaning her off Joyce Meyers and Beth Moore was much harder, but it is finally done.
Well-done, FRiend! Too many men refuse to do their duty to spiritually lead their household. My wife was never attracted to Joyce Meyer, but I had to deal with my wife and Beth Moore 12-13 years ago.
On another note, I really appreciate Chris Rosebrough.
It seems typical that when one concentrates on a single aspect of God's nature that wandering away from truth is the inevitable outcome and 'love' is usually the reason/excuse.
I am familiar with Joyce Meyer, but not Beth Moore; is she a Meyer clone?
Praise God!
I’m not familiar with Beth Moore either but I’ve encountered enough criticism for questioning some of the teaching of these false Word of faith *apostles*.
The common one is that I’m intellectualizing God.
