Read the article. It doesn’t say what was found to be offensive. It doesn’t address why there was a “gospel concert” at a public school. Did any students leave? What was the response of the student body? About all it does say is that the teacher was offended, invited student to leave with him, and is now on administrative leave. Poor reporting at its best.

You could hear the reporter tiptoeing through the article. It’s a minefield.

All this ink spilled and not a word on why the teacher found it offensive. Did it use filthy rap lyrics? Or call for cop killing or ho f---ing?

The reader is left to guess.

Was the program interrupted because of Black History month or because Gospel songs were being sung?

Gospel songs which are part of Black culture. Schools that are predominantly black have gospel choirs. It’s is ingrained in the culture. My guess is that a white teacher wanted children to be offended, yanked out his white liberal privilege card and got busted.

He’s probably stepping and fetching as we speak.

Teacher could have just taken a break if he/she did not
like the gospel music, gone to their room, sat down &
shut up after voicing preferences briefly. Free speech
cuts both ways. Gospel music IS a lot of “black” music
at its best & deeply ingrained in the culture.

No, the teacher wanted to impose his beliefs on the students.

“Jesus Christ, you can’t say Jesus Christ in school”.

So the direction this tread is going is that it is OK for schools to present gospel music because it is part of black culture but my kids can’t sing Christmas carols in spite of the fact that it is a deeply engrained part of their culture?

“He’s probably stepping and fetching as we speak.”

Maybe, but he might well be threatening to sue the school district for a religiously hostile work environment. My guess is he might well be moved to another school and whomever invited gospel music to a public school might be scolded.

He disrupted a Black History Month event, inviting students to leave if they were offended.

He’s toast.

And you know he is not a muslim maybe even an black muslim? You know the gospel music did not turn into an altar call? The way that story was couched I suspect the details are somehow problematic?

Because of the outcry from the community rather than the school board, I’d say white.

Your post is one of hundreds of reasons why government schooling should be abolished. It one of many reasons why all government schooling is a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination.

It is impossible for any school ( private or government ) to be religiously neutral. Such a philosophic state of neutrality it is impossible in the mind of any sentient human.

Government schooling takes money from the citizen ( under threat of police action) and then uses that money to indoctrinate children in the religious, political, and cultural worldview of the most politically powerful. At the moment the most politically powerful is the godless left.

By the way, I used the word, “all”. Yes! **ALL** government schooling is a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination.

That’s why I wonder what the “crime” was, and WHO was “protesting” exactly what “crime”.

BLM-sponsered obscenities and racist screaming lyrics yelled out during a “rap life” school “concert”?
Or a teacher protesting a BLM gathering?

Or a BLM group protesting a teacher at a BLM-demanded school “concert”

My take on it as well. Not a whole lot of useful information in the piece.

You nailed it: White culture is evil; black culture is sacred.

What an Orwellian farce, our society is.
