"Thrilled" that "decades of division" have been overcome

NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - New York's Cdl. Timothy Dolan is celebrating greater inclusion at this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade, which has lifted its ban on homosexuals and allowed two gay activist groups to march officially under their own banners.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, who dropped his boycott of the parade and marched through the streets of New York City Thursday, praised the event for welcoming homosexuals.

"I think it sends a moral signal," he told the press. "This says that New York City is whole again, that the people of New York City are unified, and that we're learning to overcome division."

Cardinal Dolan and de Blasio warmly embraced, Dolan telling a reporter from the local CBS affiliate that he was "thrilled" that "decades of division" had been overcome.

"There's a great spirit ... a wonderful sense of unity and friendship," Cdl. Dolan remarked. "I'd say 'Alleluia' but I can't because it's Lent."

There was a “great spirit of unity” when they built the Tower of Babel as well. Things didn’t turn out too well back then. “Unity” is not always a reflection of being good. Sometimes unity leads to destruction.

You can bet your boots that Cardinal Dolan doesn't believe the Tower of Babel ever actually existed. And also that neither does any other Catholic bishop.

They still celebrate St. Patrick’s day?

I thought that the f——ts destroyed that with their perversion on display parade.

Apparently, the AOH was concerned when Guinness pulled their sponsorship in the parade, so the group rolled over and submitted to the lavender mafia. Bunch of cowards. What the media never says is that no group was ever banned from marching in the parade. It was always a non-political, non-partisan event. Only schools and employers, such as FDNY, were allowed to march under a banner. The AOH did not allow pro-life groups to march under their banner. And to think this parade is to honor the saint who brought Christianity to Ireland.

AOH are a bunch of Sinn Fein/IRA supporting yellow dog Democrats. It's really too bad they don't have Boss Tweed to vote for today.

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.

Col. 3:5

I recognize it, ha!

( all i can say is that I do not wish anyone any harm, we all have our personal struggles at times .... nobody is perfect all the time.... IMHO, it is just that the clerics need to teach the truth ...with all kinds of pastoral love and kindness yes, but still the truth........... and CERTAINLY clerics of any Biblical persuasion should not mis-lead the flock into supporting things which are explicitly called out as seriously sinful in God’s eyes)

to preach love and patience and fellowship and all those good things, fine and dandy, but somewhere in all that the Truth also should be included, imho

Homosexuals are people doing something wrong. For a cardinal in the catholic faith to treat them as though what they are doing is right if wrong. Cardinal Dolan is not in God’s favor in this. He is definitely wrong.

A Christian man is supposed to live according to his faith and that includes not speaking in favor of wrongdoing. I wish Cardinal Dolan would get ahold of himself and divorce himself from this parade. The parade is perverted now and good Catholics should start ignoring it. It no longer honors Saint Patrick which was it’s original purpose.

"RCINC is the oldest most profitable multinational corporation on the planet."

First prize for 3 falsehoods in one sentence. (1) not "oldest" (2)not "most profitable" (3) not a "multinational corporation."

Congratulations!

The reporter also stated that de Blasio credited Pope Francis "and the intervention of Cdl. Dolan" with helping parade organizers "change their tune."

Whoa, how did that get into a Church Militant article?? Where are their proofreaders???

"There's a great spirit ... a wonderful sense of unity and friendship," Cdl. Dolan remarked. "I'd say 'Alleluia' but I can't because it's Lent."

This gets the award for the most-pukeworthy statement from a heretic posing as a Catholic Cardinal in recent days.
