Christian, when they start telling you how wonderful, beautiful or brilliant you are, watch out for the kicker. Believe me, it will come. It’s the MO of evil.

So true. There is no good in me. The only good in me is the work of our triune God. If someone compliments me, even well meaning Christians, I TRY to remember that and use it as an answer. Strong believers will agree, but it is discouraging at times to be berated for saying that. My own mother always yells at me for not being able to take a compliment. :(
