Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father,
Who Art in Heaven,
How Wonderful and Magnificent is Your Most Holy Name!
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The Most High!
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
And Omnipresent,
You Know The End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from the End.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Good Morning! My move was a success, and I am now settling into my new home. Thank you all for your prayers during this difficult time.

Today we begin our Character Study of the Apostle Peter. There are a lot of extra-biblical sources about Peter, but we will confine our study to the New Testament, as there is more than enough material there! Peter's profile is very well explored in the Gospels, and we have actual dialogue between him and Jesus recorded for posterity. We also have a lot about Peter's adventures in the Book of Acts, and two encyclical letters as well.

Peter's first appearance in the Book of Matthew shows him as chosen by Jesus as a DISCIPLE. A "disciple" is someone who sits at the feet of a teacher or mentor and learns from Him. We get the word "discipline" from this root word.

We also see Jesus sending the Disciples out to preach. That means that they are "APOSTLES". An "Apostle" is someone who is SENT OUT.

Chronologically, Matthew's Gospel doesn't tell us much about Peter's "Disciple" stage, however, some of the other Evangelists fill in the "backstory" quite nicely.

We will see that tomorrow with the Gospel of Mark.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.

Hallelujah and Amen
