This has been an oft referenced analogy in AA where subordinating the individual’s will to God’s will is a critical element of recovery. One may not know exactly what God’s will is for one’s self, but it’s pretty easy to identify a lot of things that are NOT God’s will. Start chipping these away, and God’s intentions become a lot clearer :)
My heart is desperately wicked. This morning, for instance, I read that someone calling himself Mr. Muscle donated $5 to Melissa Click’s GoFundMe drive with a note that read: I’m here. What do you need? And it caused me to laugh uproariously. I’m also enjoying knowing that she was denied unemployment. Like I said, desperately wicked. :(
