The Methodist General Conference begins next week. This once every 4 year conference is our ONLY leadership and the ONLY place where the Methodist position is actually decided.
Again, it will decide on ‘homosexuality’.
Adam Hamilton and Mike Slaughter, UMC megachurch pastors, are among the so-called evangelicals promoting a ‘third way’.
They want EACH church to be allowed to decide for itself whether or not in will have a homosexual pastor, allow homosexual ministers, etc. They also want each annual conference to make that same decision.
This ‘neutrality’ they say is a balanced approach.
It actually is a not-so-subtle way of permitting homosexuality in our ordination, weddings, and churches.

Liberal theology doesn’t care, though. And liberal theology and covert liberal theology is teaming up next week to try to throw the United Methodist Church into the pro-homosexuality column.
Lots of churches are willfully undermining their authority by allowing a “This truth here” and “that truth there” mentality. They are further sowing the seeds of heresy and apostasy because they are too cowardly to stand up for the Gospel.

That is exactly what is happening. These so-called ‘evangelicals’ are saying this church over here should decide for itself, and that church over there should decide for itself.

Dissemblers will claim that “kli geber” refers to the armor of a warrior and not men’s clothing (because it sounds like “kli gibbor”), but the word “simlah” definitely refers to a woman’s dress or robe.

I recall also that Romans would insult each other by calling their hated opponents “shaved dancing girls”, an obvious reference to homosexual drag queens, and possibly a sideways reference to the Middle Eastern predilection of having young men in harems.

Adam Hamilton heads a ginormous Methodist Church in Leawood, Kansas. They’re building a new sanctuary that will seat thousands.
And he flies under the heading of ‘evangelical’ when he wishes along with Mike Slaughter of Dayton, Ohio super-church.
They are proponents that make it very possible this could tip the balance next week in the homosexualist direction.
