Whoa, there! That's sounds like Pope Francis talking to his atheist friend.

Lucifer and Hitler both convinced themselves and millions of others that they were "right".

The teaching of the Catholic Church is precisely what I said. Pope Francis has nothing to do with it.

I don’t buy your gratuitous assertion that Hitler thought he was doing right.

Nevertheless, if Hitler went through his life without ever doing anything he was sincerely convinced was gravely evil, he cannot be damned.

BTW: Lucifer is an angel. Angels don’t go through any process of “convincing,” of themselves or other angels. Angels have no psychological processes akin to our. What an angel chooses, he chooses with a glaring, clear vision of the truth, and with a totality of commitment of the will, that a human cannot begin to imagine.
