Only in liberal Judaism are they cool. Orthodox Judaism recognizes the value of life from the time of conception to the tomb. That doesn’t mean that Judaism outlaws abortion, because Judaism also recognizes the human freedom, but it does not recognize abortion as a good thing.

Judaism does not not not consider abortion “cool”. Not at all. Jews are taught to “choose life” - And traditional Judaism majority view is against abortion except in those rare cases to save mother’s life ( because if a choice has to be made between two lives , there are other people already relying on the mother). Some Jewish opinion permits few additional exceptions (in some rabbinic opinion _ extreme debilitating birth defects maybe, also there’s some authority drawing the line at the quickening of about day 40 but that reflects mostly the lack of medical knowledge 3000 years ago imho) —but in general Judaism is pro- life and against abortion. the Church is a bit more consistently pro- life ( or if you please, a bit less nuanced) but it did inherit its pro- life position , as it inherited so very much, from its Jewish origin. For this lady to claim that Judaism teaches that abortion is “cool” is like Obama preaching that the Golden Rule teaches that letting dirty old men into the little girls’ room is cool. Neither this woman nor Obama are in harmony with Biblical teaching. This woman may just be ignorant -
