Among all those who have mouthed off from the Vatican-2 clergy about this, I think it is because it all strikes too close to home for them.

In the last 750 years there have been only three GENUINE popes who were canonized GENUINE saints of the Roman Catholic Church, and this is the promulgation of one of them on what is to be done regarding clergy caught in the act of sodomy:

St. Pius V, Constitution Cum Primum, April 1, 1566, in Bullarium Romanum

With homosexuality entering center stage in the discussions of the Synod presently going on at the Vatican, we bring to our readers some thoughts of St. Pius V on this matter in his Constitution Cum primum of April 1, 1566.

There was no "screening" process a priori?
