My pastor preached on this just last week!
What I’ve been hearing recently is that many in the charismatic/pentecostal movement have been on an anti-intellectual kick, where is you say anything about doctrine or holding up what they are doing to Scripture, they accuse you of legalism and being a pharisee.
They claim it’s *intellectualizing* your relationship with God and keeping Him from working in your life because you are restricting what He can do by, basically, not accepting whatever comes down the pike that they are claiming is from God but has no precedent for.
It’s getting really screwed up
