ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) A ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals mandates faith-based pregnancy centers provide information and referrals for abortions even if that runs contrary to the centers' religious views.
"I think it's a travesty," says William Donovan, executive director of Community Pregnancy Center in Anchorage. CPC was started more than 30 years ago by anti-abortion advocates who wanted to offer a faith-based pregnancy center.
Abortion rights supporters, including Planned Parenthood, approved of the appeals court ruling, saying pregnant women need information about all of their options, including their constitutional right to end a pregnancy.
The ruling doesn't immediately impact Alaska, but it has the potential to if litigation arises, according to Jim Minnery with Alaska Family Action.
Donovan hopes lawmakers will stand up for the religious beliefs of centers like CPC.
"We're funded by the local community, local churches and individuals," says Donovan. "Not funded by the state or federal government."

Can a class action civil rights case be brought against a federal judge or group of judges? Or are they like Clintons and above all law even God’s?
Good question.
Some old dead guy once said,”Rebellion to tyranny is obedience to God”
Can someone clarify for me why and when abortion became a ‘Constitutional right?’
