Solomon asks the Lord for wisdom 1 Kings 3:9 “So give Your servant a discerning heart to govern Your people and to distinguish right from wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?”
Heavenly Father, if it is Your will, may Donald Trump and Mike Pence be elected to govern this land. We are not confident that the opposition knows the difference between right and wrong. We ask that Trump and Pence lead this nation according to Your will and for Your pleasure.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name.

Forgive our nation for its many sins against You. We have turned away from the light of Your commands and have embraced debauchery and lawlessness.
