I’ve known several people who say they’ve interacted with them and they’re not here to help us. I saw several things while in the military that I have a hard time believing that humans built at this point in our civilization.

Did anyone of them tell you why they're here at all? We're a nondescript anthropoid, admittedly inhabited by an immortal soul, on a less than pin dot size dirt ball circling a run of the mill mid-life yellow star at the edge of one of several billion galaxies.

Of all that the one thing which might stand out is the "immortal soul" part. But that's just my interpretation. Other than that I can't think of a reason why any entity capable of interstellar travel would bother to stop by.
