Anheuser-Busch, the largest brewery in the world has just announced it may pull out of Boston's St. Patrick's Day parade after finding out a gay veterans group had been excluded.
According to reports, South Boston Allied War Veterans Council, an agency involved in organizing the parade has banned OUTVETS, a group of U.S. veterans which honors the LGBTQ community:
A spokesperson for the company said in a statement:
"We value equality and believe diversity enriches our workforce and our world. [...] We are disappointed to learn that the OUTVETS, who have proudly served this country, have been denied entry to the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade.”

Another stupid tradition parade that needs to go away.
The Irish in Ireland don’t spend all day on March 17 in bars.
They are in their churches, for the most part.
Last year my wife and I took the train into Boston to see the annual flower show forgetting it was the same day as the St.Patrick’s Day Parade. The drunken teens and 20 somethings flooding the train made me almost regret my Irish lineage.

I hate Paddy’s day. A bunch of idiots who have to drink green n beer, wear green, and think because 3 generations ago they had someone from that country it makes them Irish.
That day brings out the biggest fools, and they honestly think wearing green makes them Irish.
When I was up in Boston working I got to know a lot of Irish guys and they all laughed at the Americans who were like that.
if there is one day which this country goes overboard with it is this day, and I for one avoids the idiots like a plague.

Do any of the “OUTVETS” have any proof that they are actually veterans? I’m not talking about “associate” members. I’m talking about actual veterans.
I’ve been in Ireland and Ulster several times on 3/17.
Doesn’t resemble anything that goes on here.
