Come to think of it, I haven't heard anything of Frankie for a while. just as well. And I think his trajectory will take him completely out of Christianity, eventually. What a bitter individual.
Didn't Frankie eventually go Atheist? I remember reading something about that.
Frank Schaeffer is NOT a good Orthodox Christian, even though he apparently receives the Eucharist in his parish:

Real Orthodox are pro-life, firmly theistic, and in most cases would be considered “homophobic” by liberal Democrats and “gay” activists. It is too bad that Frank Schaeffer is such a popular lecturer and blogger.

I wouldn’t paint all EO believers badly. I had some correspondence some years ago with an internet moderator on a religious news discussion group...he was EO and when I inquired about it, I mentioned Schaeffer. He was not celebratory about Schaeffer’s “conversion”.
The book FS Jr. wrote “Dancing Alone” (I think) was more vitriol than apologetic. Not a good representation, he said, if EO.
