Thanks for posting.
I love Marian apparition stories!
Exactly how Roman Catholicism views Mary and Jesus.
Big Mary...little Jesus.
The Mary of the New Testament would not have requested an idol be made of her in such a manner.
Specifically, she asked that Catholics invoke her under the title of Our Lady of Good Success, because devotion to her under this invocation would be a great consolation to the faithful in these difficult times. She also promised her good success to all who would help to spread devotion to her under this title.
Both OT and NT teaches we are to be devoted to God only.
And he answered, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Luke 10:27 NASB
We are also instructed to cast all of our cares on the God.
6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 10After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 11To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-10 NASB
To do otherwise is a rejection of the promises made by God as given to us in the Bible.
Good article. I urge Catholics to read the whole thing.
Demonic apparition.

I have to confess, I clicked on the Thread thinking the Headline said Martian.
