Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia “seems to” go in the direction of a pastoral “discernment” that “allows the adulterers to continue in adultery,” says Bishop Athanasius Schneider. Allowing adulterers to continue in adultery encourages them to commit adultery, and encourages others who see/know what is going on.
