Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Ark of the Covenant, The Tabernacle, and The Temple

Matthew 27 (New Testament)

The Death of Jesus

45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. 46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,[c] lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[d]

47 When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

48 Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. 49 The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[e] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

55 Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs. 56 Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph,[f] and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

I grew up in a very mixed ethnic neighborhood that was predominantly Greek, Syrian, and Lebanese. There was also a large Jewish community in the adjoining neighborhood. As a teenager and art student, I loved to explore the various houses of worship, and marvel at the beautiful artistic buildings where people went to worship God. In all of them, Catholic, Orthodox, Mainline Protestant, and Jewish, there was a type of fence that separated the Congregation from the platform upon which the Altar or Pulpit, or Bemah (Jewish word for "high place") sat. The most dramatic, to my eyes at least, was the "Iconostasis" in the Greek, Russian, and Arabic Churches, which were entire walls of glittering icons, where only the priests (and deacons?) were allowed to enter.

The resemblance to the Ancient Tabernacle, Ark of the Covenant, and Temple were inescapable. As a matter of fact, the Catholic Term for the box in which the Consecrated Bread is kept is CALLED a "Tabernacle", and the large wall-safe that holds the Precious Torah Scrolls in a Jewish Temple is called an "Ark". Both of these often are covered by a curtain which needs to be pulled aside in order to access the contents. And, even in the non-liturgical independent Protestant denominations, there is most likely a little fence surrounding the platform from which the Bible is read.

These architectural traditions have a common source, and make sense, after having studied The History of The Temple from the Desert to Jerusalem. But NONE of these artistic traditions seem to take into consideration this incident in Today's reading, which also occurs in the Gospel of Mark. Indeed, it has also been ignored by Hollywood, as the only Bible Epic that depicts this event, as far as I know, was Mel Gibson's "The Passion". (feel free to correct me if I am wrong about that, movie buffs!)

The huge, heavy, thick veil that separated the people from the Presence of God was torn, from the Top down to the Bottom. What this tells me is that God is the One Who reaches DOWN to us, not the other way around.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

It started with the concept of the inner sanctuary being exposed, but it just kept going. It's always the way.

There is an interesting interplay in the string of Hebrew words in Strong's concordance from H4135 - 4140:

mul, mol, moladah, moledet, mulah, Molid

There is the word mul (circumcision) with the first letter of the root being a mem, connected to the words with a mem prefix that are formed from the root yalad (to bear, beget). They all begin with mem vav lamed, 40 + 36. Both numbers connect to Rachel (and the Ohr Rishon), as the ordinal value of Rachel is 40, and she died at age 36.

Which brings me to another play on those letters:

Mole Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated among chemists, chemistry students and chemistry enthusiasts on October 23, between 6:02 AM and 6:02 PM,[1][2][3][4] making the date 6:02 10/23 in the American style of writing dates. The time and date are derived from Avogadro's number, which is approximately 6.02 × 1023, defining the number of particles (atoms or molecules) in one mole of substance, one of the seven base SI units.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_Day

Yom Mole (יום מול), "circumcision day", falls on 3 Cheshvan this year (2017, 778), the 33rd day of the Hebrew year - 32 days from Rosh Hashanah.

Therefore it falls between day 32 and 34, the numeric values of the words for heart, lev (לב) and levav (לבב).

If levav (= 34) is "squared" (בלב), the value is 322 = 1024, which is the day after Mole Day, 10/24, the 34th day on the Hebrew calendar for year 778.

Thus levav (בלב) is heart (lev, 32) x heart = 1024. The 8th day from 10/24 is October 31, Cheshvan 11, Jewish Mother's Day, the day Rachel's soul went out.

Rabbi Abulafia teaches that the word lev, lamed–beit, needs to be understood as two lameds. This is because the letter beit is the second letter in the alphabet, and is numerically equivalent to two. So he explains that the word needs to be read and understood as “two lameds.”

But it is not enough to have two lameds. As Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh explains, in order for their to be a relationship, the two lameds need to be connected. They need to be face to face. When we turn around the second lamed to face the first, we form the image of the Jewish Heart (as seen in the picture at the beginning of this article). While the heart, as we are used to seeing it, is quite clear in this form, an entirely new part of the heart is also revealed.

The Jewish Heart

Deu 30

1. And it shall come to pass, when all these things have come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where the Lord your God has driven you:
2. And shall return to the Lord your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all your heart, and with all your soul:
3. That then the Lord your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where the Lord your God has scattered you:
4. If your outcasts have been driven out to the farthest parts of heaven, from there will the Lord your God gather you, and from there will he fetch you:
5. And the Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers:
6. And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live:

The heart of a seed:

Scarification in botany involves weakening, opening, or otherwise altering the coat of a seed to encourage germination. Scarification is often done mechanically, thermally, and chemically. The seeds of many plant species are often impervious to water and gases, thus preventing or delaying germination. Any process designed to make the testa (seed coat) more permeable to water and gases (and thus more likely to germinate) is known as scarification.

Scarification, regardless of type, works by speeding up the natural processes which normally make seed coats permeable to water and air.

The most common type of scarification is mechanical scarification.

In mechanical scarification, the testa is physically opened to allow moisture and air in. Seed coats may be filed with a metal file, rubbed with sandpaper, nicked with a knife, cracked gently with a hammer, or weakened or opened in any other way.

>>>

Regardless of the method, scarified seeds do not store well and need to be planted quickly, lest the seeds become unviable.

The Exodus from Egypt aka the house of bondage was all about making haste. Seed coat = klipah

In Kabbalah, the forces of evil are referred to as Klipot. This is the Hebrew word for a shell or a husk. A Klipah encases that which is in it, in essence holding what is inside it prisoner. Yet, a Klipah is not a room like a jail cell. A Klipah is more like a second skin. Within a jail cell, there is room to maneuver. Within a Klipah, there is no room whatsoever.

Year 778: Jacob 182 + Rachel 238 + Mashiach 358; Kever Rachel (Rachel's tomb) 540 + Rachel's [2] tears 238

Jacob and Rachel: chemistry enthusiasts.

Rachel's second son was the son of Jacob born after he was renamed Israel. And she died in childbirth.

The 10th star number = 541 (Israel). The structure is formed by 12 equilateral triangles (triangle numbers), plus one, the center point. This "plus one" value is shown on the diagram of the centered hexagonal number.

Meaning that the Magen David that is 541 is formed by 12 sons er sums that each are 45 (man, Adam), because 45 is the triangle of 9 (sum of the numbers 1-9). 45(12) = 540 (Kever Rachel). 540 + 1 (the little seed heart in the middle) = Israel. Rachel Imenu.

The image really needs a pupil within the pupil, the "little man of the eye".

Benoni = son of my sorrow strength, vigor

Gen 41:50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On H204 bare unto him.

Ex 3:16. Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you [pakad pakadti, 778], and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

Nobody was going anywhere without the bones [essence] of Joseph.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR
THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!
And for the Preservation of the Valiant
Israeli Nation!

"Crucifixion With A Donor"
Hieronymous Bosch (1480-1485)

_ OW from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say,
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.
