I understand that. But she still does not feel the need to actually overcome that attraction altogether, and claims that scripture says nothing against it. The first part of 1 Corinthians 6:11 definitely puts such attraction in the past.
However, Romans 1 deals with the same sex attraction.
Romans 1:26-27 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
I would not think it wise to be willing to live with that attraction.
To me it indicates that something still needs to be dealt with.
I know a man in jail for molesting a child and he is a Christian and now reports that God has delivered him completely from that desire or thought.
It CAN be done.
And when it seems to come back, then I would presume that it's the work of the enemy to draw the person back into temptation.
