If capital punishment was offensive to God why didn’t Jesus use HIs power to release the prisoners on either side of Him on Calvary? Why didn’t He speak out in their defense?

Who said capital punishment is offensive to God? I said God invented capital punishment.

And isn't the concept of final judgment outside of a covenant relationship with God through Jesus Christ, a capital punishment in the end?
