The difference between now and then?

Back then, there were no handouts, you knew life would be hard, but you had the opportunities if you were willing to work hard.

Today, we have handouts up the wazzoo, and people come here with the expectation of an easy life and no desire to blend in.

Get rid of welfare and the handouts first, then we’ll talk about letting more people in.

Exactly.

In addition, my ancestors worked very hard to become Americans and were proud of being Americans.
