I prefer KJV, and won’t attend a church that uses any other version. But no way have I ever thought it’s “infallible”. For just one thing, it’s translation of the Ten Commandments isn’t perfect. It’s translated, “Thou shalt not KILL”. Better translated from the original is, “Thou shalt not MURDER”. There’s a difference.
I’m Baptist preacher’s kid and attended seminary, and have never heard anyone say or imply that KJV is “perfect”. I figure some denominations, or sub-sets within denominations, go with “only-ism” — just haven’t run across them.

Strong's Hebrew: 7523. רָצַח (ratsach) — 47 Occurrences demonstrates that the verb does not just mean murder. For example, it is used for manslaughter (which, in English, is not murder, but is killing). It is not as if the KJV translators were ignorant. The problem is more with the reader, especially if reading without an authoritative teaching source or frame of reference.
Hence the
KJV only movement; it is an attempt to establish an authoritative teaching source, in English, for certain faith communities without a clear historical path to Apostolic Succession.
