Good article, but I disagree with author on one point:

I don’t think we have had “far more horrible” popes than Francis, not even the Borgia popes. As horrible as the Borgia popes were in their personal activities, Bergoglio has done far, far more damage to the Catholic Church.

Here’s another recent article about him in the wider media...one of many views (from outside the Church) that sees this pope as seriously problematic in various ways...
