>> Paul would not contradict himself as Scripture cannot be contradictory. <<
If you're understanding is that Christians don't lose Christ as evidenced by Scripture then yes.....however, you were arguing the position that Roman Catholics, as opposed to Christians, can, and by RC teaching, do lose Christ. That is not supported by Scripture and the verses you posted, out of context and not supported by any Greek exegesis, would be in contradiction of the ones I posted based upon an exegesis from the Greek, something you rather casually seemed to dismiss. Oh, and my verses were in context I might add.
1 Corinthians 9:27 but I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
2 Timothy 2:12 if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
