Jonathan Edwards and George Whitfield paired with John Wesley and Charles Finney just doesn't work for me. They are the opposite poles theologically of each other, that wouldn't have anything to do with each other if they lived now days in the 21st century.

I understand why, as a calvinist you would have issues with Charles Stanley. To dismiss the article because he makes a point about giants in theology that have come from our great country misses the point. The point was about great men of faith, regardless of theological viewpoint. Unless of course theological views on nonessensstials is a matter of fellowship breaking with you.
