Heretics and Public Sinners? Call them what they are, democrats!
Church discipline is largely lacking in the Church today. It is bad for the Church, and it is bad for sinner. It should be done in the spirit of meekness, with love, and even tears for the sinner, but it must be done.
The Bible says that for sinning Christians, who don’t repent, that they are to be cast out of the Church, for the destruction of the flesh, but the saving of their souls. When we don’t correct a wayward sinning one we are doing them and the Church a great disservice.
Also, very importantly, when they do repent they must be accepted back into the congregation with forgiving and restoring love.
