It’s almost like having a lifetime membership in a gay bar. Both are going to be very difficult to explain when their time comes. Probaby even worse if you think about it.

“The Church also needs to disband the Jesuit order which has devolved into an unspeakable cabal.”

That’s going to be tough with a Jesuit in charge.

Well, all Cardinals get to go to the Conclave to elect a Pope, but if your 80 or older, you can’t vote, but even those over 80 can lobby for and against candidates. So, one good thing is McCarrick will not be at the next conclave (assuming he is alive) nor will he be able to influence who gets elevated to Bishop at a Diocese in the U.S. that needs a Bishop. McCarrick was the anti Burke, Chaput, DiNardo wing of the Church. When Benedict was Pope, Burke and Chaput and the late Cardinal George were the ones who were influencing Bishop selections. With Francis, it was the likes of McCarrick, O’Malley and Weurl in D.C. Now to be fair it was Pope John Paul II who appointed McCarrick as Bishop then elevated him to Cardinal, despite warnings from some U.S. Priests and prominent Laity. Unfortunately, John Paul II was suspicious of accusations of homosexuality charges against priests since the Nazis and Communist both used these tactics in his Home Poland.

“A lot more need to be fired.”

What’s to do with McCarrick? Too bad there’s no precedent much less mechanism for public excommunication – “drumming out”. And at 88-years old, he can well say “what are you gonna do to me”? Solution may be the same justice crooked politicians deserve; “Pour Encourager les Autres – In Order To Encourage Others”.

During the child abuse scandals of 1990’s – 2012, I recall assurances by church leadership that the Washington Archdiocese was free of such abuse. Funny that McCarrick was archbishop during some portion of this period. And it now appears his established behavior was some common knowledge. It may well be that another shoe has yet to hit the floor; who under his leadership and example has prospered by his mentorship?

I’m sure the Jesuits have what they believe is a working excuse for this type of behavior, in which they can perform sodomy and pedophilia and still enter the pearly gates. If they still believe in said pearly gates.

Must also be concerned with what would follow Francis’ tenure. I have a gut feeling that the odds on favorite is Turkson. I think that would be a huge swing and a miss. Cardinal Sarah would have been a home run, but in place of Francis, not following.

If you don’t mind, I’m not betting much on your gut.

Or even Cardinal Burke.

Yes!
I thought Burke was a good bit older than Turkson, turns out they’re the same age.

My dear friends, Francis resign!?! This is all an intricate scheme to protect the pope and the Jesuits! McCarrick was the red herring they chose, bright and flashy and safely out. He’s falling on his sword for the good old boys. This picture of vulnerable young men is false and designed to hide the truth of the ongoing global male lovefest. This pope has his own boyfriend.
