Soon the people who have donated to support the church for decades will be gone and the church will not be able to support itself. The hierarchy will go through most of the revenue for salaries and pensions and the parishioners will get tired of not supporting theology they grew up with and the church will vanish.
It is a shame. I have known many of the poor misguided people who suppose that failing to point out sin is kindness. People who accept the life styles of people diametrically opposed to Biblical teaching for fear of offending the guilty. What is behind the clergy for accepting this change is the hope for new money but they don’t realize that they will chase the real money in the church away.
I for one will not miss the Lutheran Church that accepts radicalism as normal life. I hope it passes away before I do.
The church changing it’s message to what the people want to hear - funny, back in the day when I still bothered to go, I thought the church expected the people to change to conform to what it was teaching......
“Evangelical Lutheran Church in America: Not evangelical in the conservative, anti-LGBT sense, this denomination was formed in 1988 from the merger of the American Lutheran Church, the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches, and the Lutheran Church in America. It has ordained out gay and lesbian ministers since 2010, and ordains transgender clergy as well. It allows ministers to perform same-sex marriages, but not all do.”
They should have had an exorcism at this meeting. It would have been interesting to see how many demons came out.
