Nowhere in the Gospels does Christ instruct his Disciples to “write” anything.

But they did, so where does that leave us? They were wrong to write it down? They didn’t get it right when they wrote it down?

And there is the one place (Christ speaking)

Rev_21:5 And the One sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”

Yes, Catholics wrote down their oral tradition and protected it via the magisterium.

We are to believe it and live it.

John wrote Revelations after many of the Disciples were martyred and had already written their Gospels or letters to reflect that oral tradition.
