It's the Gospel of the Kingdom, but who thinks that 'childish' puns have anything to teach. Who is even expecting a genteel Messiah.
Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Become as little children. You know, Kinder. Kindergarten. It's for 5-year-olds.
gentle/genteel/gentleman... rooted in having a refined, high-born character (as contrasted with a brute beast). Hence the words track back to the same root as genesis, genus, genealogy, generate, generation, Gentile.
Matthew 24:11-14
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Stay kind and loving while everyone else reverts to the innate nature of a brute beast, and the good news is that you'll be saved.
Amazing what simple messages have been lost in all the doctrinal "reasoning amongst" verses inquiring of the Lord.
Yes only the Holy Spirit can open our eyes to Hebrews 12 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, 23 and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
