I read the urgency in your post, and agree that sooner or later, a Sukkot will hold particular significance. I use a calendar put together by a group of
Karaite Jews. This year, the actual sighting of the new moon in Jerusalem occurred one day later, according to their observations - they also grow their own barley for telling the season - so they're not leaving anything to chance. This puts the start of Sukkot tomorrow evening at sundown.
