Many, many of our bishops have Twitter accounts. I am tweeting to my Bishop's Twitter account several times a day. Today he made a brief remark about "fake news" so I responded with this:

Speaking of "news": USCCB statement saying that US bishops' meeting with Pope Francis “was a lengthy, fruitful, and good exchange,” but Card Vigano’s testimony of alleged cover-ups by 32 hierarchs going up to the top—the very crux of the issue—was never addressed. Duh. Waiting.

Is this useful? Should I publish more?

I lived in Spain for a time. Deeply catholic country on the surface. Images of the Jesus and / or the Virgin Mary everywhere. On building walls, in taxi cabs, just all over the place. But churches are empty on Sunday.

I asked the spaniards why this was. The answer was illuminating. They said that they are Catholic and always will be but they don't trust the church anymore. They were seen to be collaborating with Franco in the civil wars and lost all trust. So they use them for weddings, baptisms, funerals and parades. Otherwise they worship in private.

I think due to the apparent insistence on maintaining their gay sex romps at all costs the RC church is in danger of this becoming a much wider view on what it is to be a Catholic. I'm moving towards this viewpoint myself.

Great texts! Unfotunately the Church seems to be having a hard time righting itself. They need help. Your messages are a good start.

You probably know this but after the Pope said during his August trip to Ireland when questioned about the Vigano document, "I will not say one word on this. I think the statement speaks for itself," he did finally say a word:
In another homily on September 11, Francis went further, saying that not only was Viganò the real villain, but the bishops were the real victims: They were being persecuted by the devil: “In these times, it seems like the Great Accuser has been unchained and is attacking bishops,” Francis preached. And Satan “tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people.”

Unless I am reading this wrong, the Pope has thrown down the gauntlet by taking the side of the Lavendar Mafia and likening Vigano to Satan.

Yes! Can you give your Twitter handle? I would like to retweet if that’s okay.
