Have you tried to DISPROVE the resurrection of Jesus?
You must know (since you said you once believed in it) that the New Testament was written by the first Christ followers (called "Christians" in Antioch then all over). These people HAD seen the risen Jesus and they knew the prophecies about Him were fulfilled. If Jesus had not risen from the dead, then this movement would have died out almost immediately. There is a reason why souls are still coming to faith in Him. The God of the Old Testament (Moses and the Prophets and Psalms) still can be found when we seek Him and search for Him with all our hearts. Only by faith can we please Him.
Why do you not understand? I don't have to prove or disprove anything. The onus is on YOU to prove the claims of a new religion to take the place of the one G-d founded!
Do you not even realize that it doesn't matter whether he was resurrected or not? If the Torah does not provide for such a person starting a new religion, then he had no authority to start a new religion!

If the Torah does not say "keep this law until someone is resurrected from the dead and then stop and start keeping the new one," then IT . . . DOESN'T . . . MATTER.
If someone came along today and worked a miracle and claimed he had the authority to replace chrstianity with something else, you'd wouldn't even consider his claim, because you believe chrstianity is the final religion. Don't you understand that Jews believe the same thing about the Torah?
I have been on this forum for almost twenty years. In all that time not one chrstian from any form of that religion has ever even attempted to prove chrstian claims. They all seem to believe that everyone is somehow "just supposed to know" that chrstianity is true.
I think I know one reason for why this is true (it has to do with the evangelical Protestant notion of "conversion") but I'm not going to take the time to do so now. Maybe later.
