My worse Bush I moment was sending troops to Somalia on a "humanitarian" mission. Christmas of 1992 for God's sake. It was absolutely a horrible decision because then Clinton kept them there and we all know what happened next. Marines being dragged through the street by half-naked POS African tribesman.

Last night on Fox I was watching the godforsaken, never-ending coverage of Bush. One talking head said that Bush was a Conservative in that he wanted to “conserve” parts of the Constitution that were good. And he wanted to change parts that needed changing. I call that explanation of conservatism pitiful.

He was an establishment liberal republican. Violated tax pledge “read my lips” and instituted inport ban on semi auto rifles and ammunition are the things I remember the most about him. A Democrat would have been worse, a lot worse no doubt, but that doesn’t make him a conservative hero.
