Did the program live from my hotel room in Pryor, Oklahoma via Skype
and it worked this time! Yay! Talked about Laren Daigle, Ed Shaw, and the covered Hebrews 2:9 in light of the comments posted by Steven Anderson on the subject of the atonement. Enjoy!
Since when do sexual relationships outside of God-designed marriages require in-depth theological training? Would the same thing be said if she had been non-committal re: hetero sexual relationships. (This guy & another I saw quoted in an article should abandon speaking publicly on these issues)
The correct response is "read the Bible" if you want to know if anything is a sin, but if you do then you'll realize the answer to that question.
And the question itself was an attempt to justify sin, it wasn't asked in good faith.
What I did not hear were any direct references to scripture such as 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. And surely Leviticus 20:13 or Romans 1 would make it clear what God thinks about sodomite and related reprobate behavior -- it is worthy of death. These words are "spirit and they are life" and more powerful than man's words. We should employ them. Let the demons rage.
The last of the video addresses Hebrews 2:9, a problem for those who believe in limited atonement. White uses the verses that follow to explain away the simple truth that Jesus has tasted death for every man. Apparently "every man" does not mean "every man", only "some men", or "not every man." See the absurd contradiction this leads to? He refuses to understand that Jesus was a ransom for all men. (1 Timothy 2:6) God wants all men to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4), but sadly only some will be saved.
Whether it is fundamentalists or calvinists who twist the greek to serve their own pet theories -- each are engaging in eisegesis.
Who is worse? Steven Anderson or James White?
