No reason for the church to HAVE secret files. Anyway, more interesting is the deals they made with Mussolini and the money laundering they did at the Vatican bank. Yeah a few bad vatican types helped nazis flee after the war on vaticana issued passports.
But it would be very uncool to blame anyone there today for that shady past. Most religions would be shamed by their activities of 100+ years ago.
But none of them should keep it secret. Sunshine is still the best disinfectant.

Or that he was given the power to loose or retain men’s sins. Or that he could turn wine into blood. Or wafers into Jesus Christ.
