Yes.

My other example that Progressive Christians always use is the story of the woman at the well.

She was accused of adultery and accusers were prepared to stone her. The Progressive Christians cite how Jeshua chased the accusers away with “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. The he spoke to the woman and forgave her.

To the Progressive Christians that’s where their telling of the verse closes.

But the actual closing of the verse has Yeshua telling the woman “go and sin no more”.

Yeshua WAS “sympathetic” to the sinner, yes, but did not deny to them that they must repent from (change away from) their sins.
