Media Underplays Muslim involvement

Robert Spencer weighs in on Sri Lanka bombings

The media in India has identified three of the attackers in yesterday's attacks that left over 200 dead and 500 injured in Sri Lanka; mainstream media in the West has not disclosed those names.

The three attackers identified in Indian media are Zahran Hashim, Abu Mohammad and Mohamed Azzam Mohamed.

Church Militant asked Robert Spencer, the director of Jihad Watch and a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, his thoughts on an article by The New York Times — "Religious Minorities Across Asia Suffer Amid Surge in Sectarian Politics" — as well as mainstream media's general coverage of this tragedy.

When news of the bombings first broke, Islamic State (IS) supporters were portraying the attacks as revenge for strikes on Mosques and Muslims in general.Tweet

"Not just the Times, but the entire establishment media in the West, is ignoring the fact that the Indian media has identified three of the attackers," he said. "There seems to be no reason for this omission except that the media seems intent on downplaying or denying outright the motivating ideology behind jihad terror attacks."

Vicky Nanjappa of One India reports that the IS has been rampant in Sri Lanka since 2016. She noted that the serial bombings bore the signature of the IS.

Her report also states that Sri Lankan police were informed that terrorists would target 11 churches in Sri Lanka, warning that Catholics would be the main target.

Our local station never utters the word Islam or terrorism when it reports the bombings. It’s very deliberate.

“Local militants” is about as close as they’ll get to naming them. Obama and Hillary are calling the victims “Easter worshippers” instead of Christians.

“All jihad is local, but all “Islamophobia” is global.” — Mark Steyn

Frankly, when it comes to even being willing, never mind able, to admit the true and pervasive nature of Jihad in Islam — that it isn’t this touchy freely spiritual struggle but a sword and a jackboot — far too many in the West are like Baldrick when Blackadder said to him: “Baldrick, you wouldn’t recognise a cunning plan if it painted itself purple and danced naked on top of a harpsichord singing ‘Cunning plans are here again’.”

So many have swollowed the bait laid out by the likes of the OIC and Muslim Brotherhood that even if they COULD see they might refuse to see.

Really? That seems new. So, Easter worshippers-is that like dancing around the maypole or something?

More of that inexplicable violent extremism, or was it extreme violence?

Well, you can hardly blame the man, he is simply unfamilar with Western culture.

Christianity is NOT Western. It is an Asian religion. It spread to India and Sri Lanka before it reached Rome - through St. Thomas the apostle.

Christianity is universal. This is NOT a religion from Europe, this is a religion from God and originating in the Middle East, in Asia.

Barak Obama is repeating a Muslim lie about Christians worshipping a non-existent goddess eostre (hint - there is only one mention that guesses at such a goddess, written by the Venerable Bede centuries after paganism died - and there is NO mention of eostre in pagan texts whereas we have plenty of other Saxon goddesses and gods like thor, tew, woden etc. mentioned. It is probably derived from teh proto-Germanic and proto-Indo-european word for “east” for “spring equinox” - eost, the root of the english word “east” as we see in the name “Austria” or in German “Oster-reich” - eastern land)

Obambi is a Muslim

Fox has joined the dhimmi media cabal. Today they grudgingly reported that: “ISIS claims responsibility for Sri Lanka Easter bombings, but involvement not verified by officials”. They are still hedging their bets when it was crystal clear within the first two hours that this was an islamic attack. And they of course had to provide cover to the muzzies by reporting on their fake claims of sympathy for the victims:

“The attacks have sparked local and international outrage, and have been condemned by Sri Lankan Muslim groups, with one urging the ‘maximum punishment for everyone involved in these dastardly acts’. ”
