Is this a different type of Baptist Church? The ones I’ve known have been very fire and brimstone, damn the Catholics and everyone (except them) is going to burn for eternity.

I think you have the wrong impression of Baptists. You may be referring to Primitive Baptists - although I’m no scholar on them either?

Most Baptist Churches I’ve been to preach the Gospel Truth with Love. I have seen a stark falling towards liberalism and ecumenism in Baptist Churches lately. Russell Moore is a prime example with his marxist ideology.

I guess what I’m trying to say, is that what might be called “Baptist” is not necessarily Baptist.

Always be wary of preachers with outrageous comments. If they cannot back it up with true Scripture - ignore them!
