Personally, I avoid any exercise that has a spiritual aspect to it. Bike riding, calisthenics, swimming, walking, running, pumping iron - not aware that any of these have a spiritual aspect to them. Martial arts? Not sure about that, but I believe there is a spiritual aspect to that also.
Have you looked into the kundalini spirit associated with yoga?
I know that kundalini yoga is really intense. As opposed to Hatha yoga.
