With all due respect, why is it just not called “exercise”? I believe the positions used have their names based on the yoga religion. Why is this?

I am a Christian also and would not want to participate in anything related to yoga. I do not believe the spiritual aspect can or should be ignored.

You are correct and wise to avoid yoga.
Folks can ignore the spiritual aspects all they want when it comes to “opening spiritual doorways” - which is exactly what Yoga teaches.

This is demonic & forbidden by the Lord.

Fortune tellers, tarot card reading, ouija boards, yoga - it’s all the same.

They ignore the warnings at their own peril. Oh well!
