Even before Francis there was no unity among traditional Catholics. Whether or not the SSPX is in apostasy has been an ongoing controversy in traditionalist circles. The correct interpretation of "no salvation outside the Church" is an ongoing controversy. Who to respect, and how to respect, those in the Church hierarchy is an ongoing controversy among traditionalists. How much of the Second Vatican council is authentic new teaching, authentic restatement of old teaching, or just opinion is an ongoing controversy.
You happen to know that your personal opinions on all these issues are not only correct, but are not in fact your opinions but the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church.
But then this is what all of the other traditionalists with different views than yours believe as well.
You're right. There has been no Catholic unity since the Second Vatican Council. That alone speaks volumes.
You're right about my thinking my opinion is correct. I don't believe that it equals the teaching of the Catholic Church, but it doesn't contradict it.
What do you believe? Are you even Catholic?
